A dental implant is a restoration that is used to replace a missing tooth within the mouth. WHAT HAPPENS DURING THE DENTAL IMPLANT PROCEDURE?

The dental implant procedure begins with anesthetic or sedation of your choosing. We then cut slightly into the gums and create a hole in the jawbone. The titanium implant post is placed deep into this hole and given time to integrate with the surrounding area. You will come in regularly to have the implant checked while it is healing. We then make either a crown, denture or bridge that is placed over the new implant. You can expect the implant to last for decades without needing special treatment.
